Creating a garden - Chelsea flower show behind the scenes

Gardens are such an important part of our homes - they provide a sense of calm, a view, a place to relax and socialise.  This year the architects from The Boathouse Design Studio, the amazing place I work in Teddington, helped out the very talented garden designer Zoe Claymore with her wildlife trust garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.  It was amazing to see behind the scenes during construction and get a feel of all the hard work and creativity that goes into the final week of the show.  It was great to help out.  Keeping moss and trees used to damp conditions thriving in the hot May we had needed all hands on deck.

Zoe's garden reflects the UK the wildlife trust's 100 year Temperate rainforest restoration project to restore huge areas of our country.  It was a beautiful, wild garden - awarded peoples choice! and rightly deserved.
