Emphasis on natural materials and subtle play of artificial and natural light has inspired the detail design of the family home. Working with Zoe Defert Architects, Sophie Bates Architects is currently developing a lighting concept for the basement into carefully thought-out details for the large walk on roof light over the basement and the connection of the top-lit entertainment and guest accommodation to the garden.
