Vaulted home - Coombe

The whole house refurbishment, conversion and rear extension of an empty, run-down period property in Coombe provided fantastic opportunities to open up the space and create a family home. Situated on a steep site with a cellar under the rear of the house, the opportunity was there to lower the ground floor and create a dynamic, vaulted living space stepping out to the garden. To the outside of the vault a standing seam roof made of bronze-toned zinc celebrates the contours of the roof while matching with the red brick of the original house.

The photos of the house under construction expose the timber, vaulted structure and how the light fills the space.
