Surrey Hills Contemporary Home

We have been granted for planning permission a 400sqm new build, contemporary home in Ewhurst, Surrey.

We took care to design this 400sqm home set in a rural, village setting to ensure the design didn't impact the conservation area.  The family home is part of a village on the outskirts of Ewhurst in the Surrey Hills.  We applied for preapplication advise to show how we have understood the local and national planning policies, the local context of materials and the surrounding massing.  The house is set back from the boundary, a mix of single and two storey with it's volume stepping down with the gently sloping site and materials blend with the surrounding buildings and woodland - timber cladding and flint are the main materials.   The house is U-shaped, with a sheltered courtyard overlooked by the living areas and offering privacy in the open landscape beyound.

Sophie delivered a stylish design impeccably in line with all aspects of our brief. She was a delight to deal with: available, prompt and great can do attitude. We felt in good hands as she is very knowledgeable and has a good attention to detail. I would definitely use Sophie again.
